- "It isn't the fact that we lost our best player on defense, it's that the QB we got, sucks!":
What was extremely funny about my 2.5 hour drive from Indy to Valpo, IN, is that I get the rare opportunity to listen Chicago-Land radio. Apparently, the citizens of Bears Country are more worried about Jay Cutler sucking it hard against the Packers of Green Bay rather then the fact they lost the heart and soul of that team in Brian Urlacher. "It was his worst performance he has ever...EVER HAD in the NFL! I mean, Kyle Orton in Denver had a better week then Jay Cutler, A PRO-BOWLER! (ESPN Radio Chicago)" I thought other teams (that I will not name...) had whiny fans, but Bears fans have taken the cake on this one. Now I will introduce a new segment in my blog...
Now it's time for JB's......REALITY CHECK!
PEOPLE OF CHI-TOWN!!! LEND ME YOUR EARS! Cutler will throw many interceptions...Cutler will throw many touchdowns. This is who Cutler is. The kid has a strong arm and laser guided accuracy...when he wants. He will take chances, he will make many mistakes, he will win you many games. If I could give the Bears a tid-bit of info...GET WIDE RECEIVERS! Devon Hester is a great player, a great kick returner, but he is not a good wide receiver...unless he is in a 20 yard bubble by himself. The 5'10" man is not tall enough to match up against the corner backs of this league.
Listen to me Bear fans! I am a Broncos fan. And I have watched Cutler for most of his short NFL career. YOU WILL BE OK! Cutler will turn things around and you team should be fine. Stop worrying about your QB, you lost your overall team captain and the heart of your defense. Worry about him, not Cutler...

#13 Va. Tech takes on the Cornsuckers of #15 Nebraska in Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, VA. Of course, I favor VT. My only concern, NEB defense is legit and the last time VT faced a stingy defense, Bama held VT to 65 yards on the ground.
#849375 Colorado plays Wyoming. This will be short and sweet. Wyoming...Cody Hawkins sucks. Nuff Said
#17 Cincinnati plays the Beavers of Oregon St, in Corvallis. The bearcats put on an asswhoopin' last week scoring over 70 points (and it wasn't against Indiana State Univ! Believe me, I was shocked). Oregon St. is trying to make a name for itself, even though I am sure everyone forgot the big win last year this team had over some team from southern California named after a condom brand. I will not be shocked if the Beavers pull this one out...no pun intended.
#2 Texas plays Texas Tech in Austin. This is a rematch of a shootout last year that was amazing to watch. I look for Colt McCoy to step up his play and carry his Longhorns on to victory.

Soccer haters, please skip this section. I do not want to give you a headache from not being able to comprehend the World's Game! You have been warned!.......
Group play has started in the UEFA Champions League. My team, FC Bayern Munich, had a decisive 3-0 win over Hafia FC of Israel. With that win, FC Hollywood moves into their next match on 9/30 against the Juves of Juventus from Italy. A match that almost promises to be an amazing match. In league play, the Reds of Bayern currently sit in 3rd place in the Bundesliga behind Bayer and Hamburger SV by 2 points each. With a win today over Nuremberg, Bayern could take the #1 spot in the Bundesliga.

According to ESPN Insider, and the only insider I trust, Adam Schefter reports that Former Broncos Head Coach Mike Shanahan planned on cutting wideout Brandon Marshall after the Pro Bowl last season. Shanahan became annoyed with Marshall's off the field problems and felt he was unreliable on the field. Marshall led all NFL receivers with 206 catches, gaining a total of 2,590 yards over the last two seasons. Shanahan felt Marshall had cost the Broncos more victories by his poor route running, dropped passes and his tepid run-blocking efforts. Baby T.O. stuck again in week one when he dropped over 60% of passes thrown his way, including a bomb by Orton that went right through his hands. Is it too late to trade him?
The Rockies blew a 4-1 lead when Manager Jim Tracy turned the game over to the bullpen. Final score was 7-5 in favor of the D-Backs. How did the Giants do? They actually beat the frickin' dodgers! Rockies lead is 2.5 in the wild card...
With a 1-0 win over Long Island Univ., the George Mason Men's Soccer team is 6-1 and is off to one of the best starts in school history. On the 29th of this month, the Patriots will play host to the U of Maryland Twerps, NCAA Div I Soccer Champs. GO MASON!

CAEN, France - A French court has fined a preschool teacher $1,450 for biting the cheek of an allegedly unruly 4-year-old during a bathroom break.
The court in the Normandy town of Lisieux handed down the fine Wednesday over the March 2007 incident in the nearby town of Houlgate.
The teacher had denied the boy's claim and said he had been misbehaving. The ruling came after a medical report showed a bruise on his face.
The school reprimanded the 48-year-old teacher weeks afterward.
In keeping with French judicial practice, the court didn't identify the woman because she is still teaching.
